  1. Looks small from outside, but very spacious inside. All smoking area on the ground floor but there is non-smoking floor on 2nd floor.

I love the ambiance. It is designed with rustic feel. I was amazed by the painting on the wall, board game called Snake and Ladder yet the boxes were filled with the history of coffee

Parking space is limited better use taxi

  2. I had iced coffee and cake.
The taste of the iced coffee, which was so delicious, has not been forgotten a day since I returned to Japan. For me, the best coffee in the world is the one served here.

The friendly staff and the atmosphere in the store made the coffee even more delicious.
The best memory I have during my stay in Jakarta is the coffee I had at this place.
If I ever go back to Jakarta, I will definitely come here again.

I am a traveler from Japan.
Thank you for the wonderful memories.

  3. The place is very lively. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food is good – we didnt know one pprtion was so big – and just ordered too much 😂 ans just beware that Indonesian food is a little bit sweeter than what you will usually eat.

Coffee: hmm it s strong 😬

But in generally, it was a good experience for us (2ppl) – note: we also came early before the place became very crowded.

  4. Bakoel Koffie is a classic coffee shop that has been established since 1878. Can you imagine how old it is! 😃

But the place is still well maintained with classic decorations, wooden tables and chairs. The place is spacious, consisting of two floors. This place provides traditional game, one of them is congklak that we played during our visit.

They provide variant of coffee, non coffee drinks, Indonesian snacks, Indonesian and Western main dishes. Since we came here only for snacking, so we only ordered Pisang Goreng (IDR 45,000), Singkong M’ledug / deep fried garlic cassava (IDR 45,000), and I had Hot Black (IDR 35,000). Both of the sweet and savory snacks is good, enjoy them while they’re still hot for the best taste!

For the coffee, they have 3 choices of coffee beans, such as Black Mist (caramel and buttery); Heritage 1969 (dark chocolate and molasses); and Brown Cow (hazelnut and almond). I forgot what I tried, but from the tasting notes, I think I tried heritage 1969. Well, the coffee taste is bold for a black coffee with strong aroma.

I did try for togo their Pineapple Cheesecake. This is so interesting as I haven’t seen pineapple cheesecake before. There was a buy 1 get 1 free promo for this pineapple cheesecake. So I paid around IDR 55,000 and got 2 slices. The cheesecake is thick and soft with the quite strong pineapple jam on top. Recommended cheesecake with affordable price!

  5. This Place have a Great Colonial Interior, java Vibes n Betawi also.
You can hear the Jazz music on the first floor, but you can hear javanese Song on the second floor without any confusing.
Every Room has a different taste but most of all is full of old Jatiwood Furnished.
I didn’t recomend for a fritter, doesn’t give my satisfied with overcooked looks.
Becarefull for the Price, is not affordable for students or for Circle hangout…
