  1. My partner and I have stayed here 3 times now. Last weekend we booked a room for 3 nights. Check-in was easy and the room was fantastic however, we didn’t sleep well as the room faced the main street and we were wakened several times with loud music in the night. We contacted reception and nothing was too much trouble. They found us a lovely quiet room at the back of the hotel for the next 2 nights. The breakfast has lots of choice and gorgeous coffee. All staff are engaging and very friendly. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the city. We will be back!

  2. A decent hotel in central Cardiff. Location is quite good right in the center next to everything even though queen street itself is just a big shopping promenade, nothing special about it. Castle however very close by and so are all the restaurants and cafes of the center. All the people I interacted with were kind and pleasant, the room was big but very dark and gloomy. The bed was way too soft even though i did get a decent nights sleep since it was very quiet despite the central location (it was a week day, don’t know what happens during weekend) . Air conditioning was pretty erratic, and since it was quite a cold February day outside my room kept getting really cold. Water pressure in the bathroom was disappointing though there was always hot water. WiFi was good. The layout of the hotel is extremely confusing and the first day I kept getting lost in the hallway. There is a Gym but your room card wont open it, you have to go to reception, leave them your room card and get the gym one instead – very cumbersome and unnecessary. Gym itself was adequate nothing more. Didn’t try breakfast or the restaurant but there was a cafe at the lobby which was closed most of my stay there. All in all Not a bad choice if you need to be in central Cardiff but I wouldn’t call it a boutique hotel.

  3. Very impressed with the Hotel Indigo in Cardiff. I visited on February 2nd, 2024 and found the staff (especially the woman working reception in the afternoon) to be very helpful, knowledgeable about the amenities and good natured. I have found that different hotels in the IHG portfolio are inconsistent with communication around the benefits of the IHG program tiers and often they don’t provide the options available and automatically want to just credit points to my account. The young person working the desk this day went through all the options available and made sure to point out and thank me for my loyalty to the IHG brand. It sounds like a small thing but when you’re traveling and staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable it is well appreciated. This experience was consistent with a different woman the following morning who was also kind and went out of her way to do something nice for me that wasn’t expected. This is indicative of a very well run hotel so whoever is the manager of this location is doing a very excellent job indeed.

The hotel was quiet, despite being in a super busy (but great) location. The rooms were comfortable with multiple amenities and nice Welsh touches and the food in the restaurant was hot and tasty. I will be staying here many times in the future and can’t wait to be back.

  4. Absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathroom were spotless, and the huge walk in shower was amazing too. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were really polite and really helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.

  5. I frequently travel to Cardiff for work, and the Indigo Hotel is my favorite place to stay. It offers great value for money, with a prime location that’s close to everything. The rooms are exceptional, providing comfort and style. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the food is good. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cardiff!
