  1. A drawer for small clothing items would be great. Porridge as a hot cereal would have made the cold mornings start better. The service was polite friendly and the location suitable for my stay. Great value.

  2. Booked this hotel to stay in for one night so I can see a concert in a nearby arena.

For starters, despite being called a “Budget” hotel, I thought the pricing was fairly above the budget range I would expect. It was Friday so fair for prices to be higher than normal, but still thought the overall cost was greater than what the hotel offered.

The rooms are quite small, but cozy. The shower and the sink are open in the room itself, with the toilet having a separate little room. I can imagine someone of a bigger size might find the shower and the toilet a little bit uncomfortable to use, as they are quite small.

The staff were friendly and hospitable. Quick check in, quick check out.

The location is pretty good, just about 10mins walk from the Central Station, and good walking distance to the Cardiff center for entertainment. There’s a Co-op across the road from the hotel, which is convenient for quick meal or snacks.

Overall – a decent place to stay if you’re not planning on spending too much time in the hotel room itself.

  3. Horrible bathroom with no locks or a curtain. The shower spot opens directly to floor. No demarcation in bathroom for showering spot and toilet. No exhaust system in bathroom hence after shower, no one can use the bathroom as there’s intense vapouring. Rooms have no ventilation hence very suffocating and need to keep window open to survive but then there’s freezing wind outside. It’s horrible stay. All rooms are same so no point changing rooms. Extremely poor option for money. Room service doesn’t clean floors either. Just change bins and towels. I will never return to the hotel or suggest anyone. Worst experience ever.

  4. Rooms were tight and very basic. Toilet was barely big enough to turn around in, shower was switching between hot and cold so I ended up not showering, and the door for shower room is pretty much see through and again a very tight fit so not great for privacy because you can see almost everything. We had a room with a bunk bed, double on bottom and single on top, I slept on top bunk and my mattress was absolutely awful, it was not a proper single mattress, it was as deep as a toddler mattress which meant I had an awful night’s sleep. It wasn’t dirty at all but it also wasn’t a good quality room in any way. We paid 210 for 2 nights, I honestly wouldn’t say its worth that. Close to town centre and I rate the staff highly as they were all so friendly and lovely.

  5. My friend and I were so pleased with how accommodating this hotel was, that we called at 0930 to ask if they had any rooms available and not only did the gentleman get us into a room with two twins, but he was also able to get us checked in immediately for an extra 10£ free on top of the 47£ booking.

Upon arriving, the reception was friendly and gave us a few suggestions within the city. The hotel was clean and modern; the room was spacious, and clean, and offered a comfortable bed after our long train travel. This hotel is only 15 minutes by foot from the Central station.

    Thank you, Cardiff Centre Staff!
