  1. Same with other Mary Grace in this area, this place is my go-to reading cafe. I can focus on reading while I’m having good coffee and pastry.
Their staff is always attentive, which is the usual on all their branch.
I ordered their Three Cheese Esaymada, and it’s really good. But since it’s cold inside the cafe, the cheese hardened after a while. It’s best to eat when it’s still hot.

  2. A national institution when it comes to cakes as they are found in many places. Love their pasta. The ensaymada is one of the things to buy before going back home. Otherwise, it’s a if one had not step foot in the Philippines at all.

  3. The desserts are actually really good. The pasta was alright. Wasn’t bad but just felt like it was authentic yet lacked? Unsure. The beef tapa was great

Service was both good and bad. One dude was super attentive (like super) the girl who served me got my order wrong and gave me salt that couldn’t pour out. When opened it was super dirty.

  4. Food taste amazing and flavorful.

I usually order spaghetti with beatballs but this time I ordered Vigan longanisa sandwich. First of all, as much as I want to eat it in a traditional way, the longanisa is in crumbs so it’s better to use a fork and a knife. Secondly, the bread used is too chewy. It’s too hard to cut it with a butter knife, let alone even by biting.

Their services could use some improvement as well. When the restaurant gets busy, the staff usually forget to do even the simplest things. They served us our food without giving us the utensils first.

Lastly, asking for the bill takes too long. It would take an average of 10 minutes before they could settle your bill. So if you want to immediately leave after eating, it’s better to ask for the bill as soon you received all your orders.

TLDR: Food is amazing but their service could be better.

  5. Easeful and pleasant.

BGC has a lot of Mary Grace branches. This one has a section where you can hold events such as baptismal parties. As usual, they stayed true to theme of the brand, which is so “tita” and recognizable, from the colorful interior to the personalized letters displayed on the tables.

We went here to buy us time before our reservation at a nearby restaurant. It was a rainy evening, so our hot selection of drinks was dreamy and perfect. I ordered Mint Hot Chocolate. And as someone who’s fond of mint chocolate, I find this one ultra satisfying. The richness of the chocolate and the boldness of the flavor go well together. I wanted more I wished they served it in a larger cup. Haha.
