  1. A very basic budget room, everything needs updating. Cannot sit on the chair the backs broken, I surprised it took the weight of the towels, windows got a crack, carpet is faded in places, the walls are thin so you can hear noise from other rooms. The 2 good things about staying here is staff lady on arrival, she was very friendly and the shared bathroom was nice. Wouldn’t not recommend to anyone

  2. Decent, cheap accommodation in the capital, paid 80 quid and got a decent sleep. The building on the outside is stunning, as are all the houses around there. Inside it is maybe a little run down, but couldn’t really knock it. The showers were constant and never dropped temperature. Would deffo stay again if having a bit of a jolly with the lads again.

  3. Me and my friends booked to stay in the Maggie Jones guest house 15th March 2019.
We were given what appeared to be the attic room, it was cold, draughty and unwelcoming.
Facilities were very dated, and damaged. The leather couch bed was ripped in numerous places. The bedroom furniture was chipped and tatty it looked like it was most likely purchased in the 70s.
The cleanliness of the room was not acceptable. Pubic hairs were noted in the toilet and sink. And previous guests must have had a food fight as there was pizza smeared on the wall and the coat peg was covered in cake.
Inside the kettle was covered in lime scale.
The spare blankets were old, itchy nylon blankets, again the type that may have been purchased in the 70s.
On a positive note, the manager was very friendly, and provided us with alternative accommodation in another guest house

  4. after ringing bell we had to wait for lady to come across from another property
Very polite lady greeted us, however we gave cash £10 extra (cash only payment) by accident, when we later queried this they denied this and it was their word against us.
Window didn’t shut or lock, not good when your alone in a room.
Wifi password downstairs in living area not in room.
    Noisy toilet and dripping shower.
Toilet door lock broke so had to block with doorstop.
No signs on taps to say hot or cold so dangerous for small children.
Only positive was comfy bed and good night sleep.

  5. Not very clean in room. Bathroom door hanging off extractor fan thick with grime. Was sent out to get cash for the room had to walk for 10 mins to nearest cash point before we had key to room. It was pouring down with rain so got pretty soaked.
