  1. The hotel itself is comfortable and quiet and staff were very helpful but there is no in-house restaurant. Breakfast is available at the adjacent David Lloyd Gym complex but waiting here was too long and staff did not greet us or acknowledge our presence while we waited to be seated. We accepted a refund and left. Breakfast at the close-by Morrison’s was excellent and much less expensive.
The hotel is located conveniently for frequent buses into town where many other buses can be accessed, so it’s easy to avoid driving into the congested city.

  2. Great location for city centre, £9 taxi into centre of town. Very easy access off m4, yet still quiet. Rooms clean and well maintained, staff very helpful. Good choice of restaurants in retail park opposite. Breakfast was far above usual Premier Inn, served to order at the adjacent David Lloyd centre.

  3. This was the 3rd Premier Inn I stayed at over a 3 week period in Wales and this was the one I disliked the most.

The good points were the staff, very nice, helpful and always smiling.

The bad points for me – having to leave the building to eat, especially in the evening in this winter weather having to walk around the outside of the buildings was terrible.
The lift was possibly the slowest lift ever, turned into a standing joke.
The water pressure was very low
    My windows were very draughty
Bathroom was small and awkward layout
The restaurant was in David Lloyd Club, the food was great but the dining experience awful. Out of 5 evening meals they forgot about us 3 times. Once we sat waiting for our plates to be cleared for 40 minutes before dessert. The restaurant was noisey as they decided it was a good idea to have the weights gym on the floor above so constant banging as weights hit the floor. Lots of kids running around.

Certainly wont be staying here again

  4. Have had a really nice 2 night stay here after travelling to Cardiff for meetings. The people on reception have been very welcoming during check in and throughout our stay. Information in the room Is great and it’s all very clean and tidy. We have had the cooked breakfast option which has been good.

  5. Premier Inn staff were lovely, especially the cleaner. Good location to do what you need and the taxi into town wasn’t a bad price. Only complaint would be that the dinner is served in David Lloyds where the food is good but the staff are somewhat lacking but that’s not premier inn fault.
