  1. Warm and quiet room but cleanliness really poor. Floors were stained and unhoovered with mud over the floors and mirrors were filthy. Missing shower curtain and mugs. Blood stains on the sheets. Broken hangers with sharp metal poking out the end.
And absolutely do not ask to use the travel cot, broken and beyond filthy.
Complained to reception staff who did their best to try and improve the situation for us. They moved us to another room which was slightly cleaner. The hallways smelt of weed which was apparently coming from another occupant.

If we hadn’t of had very small, tired children with us very late at night, we would have left and looked for somewhere else.
We spoke to the manager in the morning who gave us an e-voucher refund but didn’t seem overly fussed about the dire state of the hotel.

    Strongly recommend avoiding!

  2. There were hairs in the bathroom and on the bed sheets, seems like nobody cleans the rooms and just throw some towels on the bed. (Not sure if the towels were clean)
No soap in the bathroom at all, the TV was unplugged and not tuned so you had to tune it in.
There were stains on the walls where nobody has attempted to wipe it down.
First impressions when you walk in are “is someone else already staying in this room” or “did I enter a dirty used room by mistake”

There is never anyone at reception, for some reason the staff hiding in the back out of sight so it makes checking it difficult cause you wait there for ages.

I somehow actually left the room cleaner than the state I found it in.

This was fairly cheap but to be honest I’ve stayed in cheaper places that were nicer and I’d probably want to pay more to have a clean room and somewhere nice to sleep.

Good things about it are it’s a handy location if you’re driving long distance and there is a burger king, the staff at burger king were great so the hotel could learn from them or at least give them the keys so they could hand them out instead.

  3. We just needed a Hotel outside of Cardiff that wasn’t going to charge for rooms and parking. 25 minutes away from the City Centre was close enough to go into town and then out again. A great base for exploring the City and surrounding areas.

  4. Dirty bedding, stained towels, stains on walls, shower rail chrome was brown, ring of dirt in the bathtub, the shower gel was just 99% water, half used toilet roll with no spare, radiator was switched off down behind the chair, the main door to the room stuggled to shut, the wind through the closed windows and vents sounded like a hair dryer going off, only 2 pillows in the room, hard to get served at reception for anything, no spoons with the brew kit, the rain overflowing the gutter hitting the flood around the building footpath was loud, the room was freezing when we arrived, dogs barking in a room nearby, the hallway was dirty and smelled bad in the morning, using a standard dirty broken key number fob and standard door key 🔑 rather than key card still these days.
We do not recommend this hotel

  5. I booked to stay for 1 night but the website malfunctioned and charged me for 5 nights! I rang immediately to advise of the situation. This was 2 weeks ago. Still haven’t heard back regarding a refund. Cost me £360 for 1 night stay. Booked a family room, a pile of dirt was left outside our room for the full duration of our stay, the toilet was leaking and so was the soap dispenser. Soap all over the floor making it slippery. Not ideal with kids. I would give 0 stars for poor customer service.
